Imagine Joe Biden’s grating takes on great tragedies

A wildfire on Maui this month burned down an entire town. It was because the local electric company spent far more money pandering to the Greens than on making their power lines safe. And because the local water czar refused to divert water to firefighters because “water equity.” It left over a hundred people dead and hundreds more still missing.

Joe Biden’s comment was “No comment.”

After all, he was on vacation in Delaware – as he is 40% of the time – from the rigors of his usual vacation in the White House. After his vacation from vacation finally ended, they packed his somnolent corpus onto Air Force One to Maui, which is something I’d like them to do with me after my next vacation.

In Maui, he had these comforting words for the survivors who’d lost everything, including in many cases their loved ones. Referring to a small kitchen fire in his house, he empathized:

“I don’t want to compare difficulties, but we have a little sense, Jill and I, what it’s like to lose a home. . . . To make a long story short, I almost lost my wife, my ’67 Corvette, and my cat.”

Joe trots out this story over and over, even though it gets debunked every time by even his allies at The New York Times and the Washington Post. After Hurricane Ian where 161 people died last year, he delightedly sang it:

“We didn’t lose our whole home, but lightning struck and we lost an awful lot of it.”

In yet another version of the same fable, Biden said he knows what it’s like “having had a house burn down with my wife in it.” I’ll defend “Doctor” Jill a bit here. She is showing her age, but doesn’t look like she was in a house while it burned down. Anyway, at least in this version of the story Joe didn’t lump her in with his cat and his classified-documents-laden Corvette. But expect him to add a dash of global warming to the kitchen fire story next time.

He’s a self-congratulatory, obdurate liar who lies with insolent, unabashed truculence.

If only lyin’ Biden had been around to help at other tragic times of American history. To wit:

9/11 where 2,996 died: George W. Bush went to New York, grabbed not a teleprompter but a bullhorn, and climbed atop a pile of rubble at the demolished World Trade Center to proclaim:

“I want you all to know that America today, America today is on bended knee, in prayer for the people whose lives were lost here, for the workers who work here, for the families who mourn.”

“I can hear you! I can hear you! The rest of the world hears you. And the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon.”

Nice, but Joe would have brought tears to everyone’s eyes with a wonderful anecdote about himself along the lines of:

“Reminds me of that bully CornPop who I smacked down in high school. Same kind of bullies this time. They did illegal stuff. And I’m gonna get ‘em, cuz I graduated at the top of my law school class with three degrees and probably have an IQ higher than yours. And I got Merrie Garland here, too, who was almost on the Supreme Court.

Pearl Harbor where 2,403 Americans died: Franklin D. Roosevelt opened his address to a joint session of Congress with these words:

“Yesterday, December 7, 1941, a date which will live in infamy, the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.”

Joe’s version:

“I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings. Here’s what I know. Trump should be investigated.”

Gettysburg where 7,000 U.S. and Confederate troops died and 50,000 were wounded: Abraham Lincoln solemnly declared:

“The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here.”

Joe would have said:

“The world will little note, nor will I long remember what they did here, but you can never forget what I say here: God save the Queen, man [or queen-man?]”

Space Shuttle Challenger: Ronald Reagan:

“The crew of the space shuttle Challenger honored us by the manner in which they lived their lives. We will never forget them, nor the last time we saw them, this morning, as they prepared for the journey and waved goodbye and ‘slipped the surly bonds of earth’ to ‘touch the face of God.’”

Joe:

“Reminds me of my chats with the conductor on the Amtrak train. No joke. I told him if he didn’t fire the engineer, then I’d take my billions home with me. Well, son of a bitch, the engineer got fired.”

Barack Obama’s “Perfect Union” speech: Readers know that I see the Obama presidency as a missed opportunity for racial healing, but he did say some good things at some good times in his campaign, such as this:

“I have asserted a firm conviction, a conviction rooted in my faith in God and my faith in the American people, that working together we can move beyond some of our old racial wounds, and that in fact we have no choice.”

Joe would say, and did say:

“I got arrested trying to visit Nelson Mandela. And the Republicans are gonna put y’all back in chains.”

So here we are. A stupid, feeble, grifting, putative president beclowning himself in plagiarizing his own lies to bolster his fragile, battered ego, all at the expense of people in mourning.

But . . . but . . . OrangeManBad!

  1. Another excellent take on the no morals moron in the White House. He is the Obaminator’s 3rd term and while promising unity is beating his old boss in divisiveness hands down

  2. It’s pretty easy to criticize Old Joe from Scranton, and not just in his current dotage. It’s a little like shooting fish in a barrel. Of course, I enjoy shooting fish in a barrel every chance I get and likewise, any time I can luxuriate in an article heaping scorn on Biden, I’m all in! So, thanks, Glenn for your effort. Having said that, what I would really like to shoot, in or out of a barrel, is pretty much every democrat who supports Biden or the cabal that is running him. Or pretty much everything that the democrat party supports. And if the algorithms that patrol the internet for threats of violence happen to catch me up, I’M ONLY KIDDING ABOUT THAT SHOOTING COMMENT. Kind of like, for example, Madonna’s threats about blowing up the White House, or Snoop Dog’s video, or Kathy Griffin’s bloody head joke or that time in New York when they killed the Trumpian actor portraying Julius Caesar in the Playhouse in the Park production. Yeah, just like that. Kidding. Really.

  3. Real nice commentary, right to the point, JRB is as close to worthless as one can get without actually being there!

Joe Biden did not think those words up, he is mentally incapable of putting thoughts like that together. He can not even read thoughts off of a teleprompter or a flash card. The real evil are those behind the black curtain who program this sick fool’s every waking minute, and lie to all of America with every word they utter and sentence they create for him. Gitmo on bread and water for the rest of their evil lives is not good enough punishment for the damage this has done to America. I hope this destroys the democrat party and the Republican elites that support them!

  4. Police *just following orders* blocked the road out of Lahaina during the fire.. Many who turned around / obeyed the orders perished, those who ignored the orders (drove around the barricades) survived.

-2- Warning sirens were not turned on during the fire.

-3- Maui police put citizen journalist Nick Sortor in a headlock for asking the mayor about the death toll.

  5. Lyin’ Joe Biden seems to inhabit a completely different reality from the rest of America.

It’s hard to even call this a reality as it is more of an unreality. Does art imitate life, or is this life imitating art?

Hocus Pocus Biden … this is so reminiscent of that Twilight Zone episode Hocus Pocus and Frisby, although Joe Biden’s whoppers go above and beyond the liar Frisby in this classic episode.

It’s starting to feel like we’re all living in a Twilight Zone with this constant gaslighting coming out of the highest levels of our US Government …
